Fiona Stocker is an English writer living and working in the Tamar Valley of northern Tasmania. Her book Apple Island Wife is due for publication with independent UK publisher Unbound in mid-2018. The sequel, Saddleback Wife, is also contracted to Unbound.
Travel, Food and Lifestyle Writer for Northern Tasmania
Since I live in one of the world's premium travel destinations, I write travel, food and lifestyle articles about Tasmania, specialising in northern Tasmania and the Tamar Valley region. Sometimes I write about wine and wineries as well, since we're surrounded by them, and I'm always open to bribery by vintage cuvee.
Writing and Editing Services
Occasionally I write and/or edit books, website content, blog post content and other material for clients - small business owners and consultants, tourism organisations and local authorities, and community organisations. Sometimes I work as a ghost writer / editor for individuals who have a book they want to self-publish.
Farm and guest accommodation
Since my husband doesn't think I'm quite busy enough, we run a small farm and food business, Langdale Farm. My husband raises rare breed Berkshire pigs and turns them into delicious pork sausages and bacon, made and smoked on the farm. We offer eco-luxe guest accommodation through AirBnB, with a farm tour and delicious breakfast thrown in. You can find us on AirBnB, and at the award-winning farmers' market Harvest Launceston.
