When I'm not working on my own creative writing, I'm editing and ghost writing other people's.
A great edit takes your work to another level. It no longer reads as if written by someone who isn't a writer. It simply reads brilliantly. A great edit makes the reader forget about the writing style, it's too busy thrilling you with the content and ideas, making them light up in your mind, creating an indiscernible but vital flow from one paragraph to the next, and a playful, delightful, incisive turn of phrase - whichever your work needs. A great edit brings clarity, polish and professionalism to your prose.
Material I've worked on as an editor includes short stories, novels, books, brochures, flyers, newsletters, and in the olden days, corporate world proposals and reports (yawn). Increasingly i'm working on e-books and books that business people want to self-publish.
Subjects I love to write about or edit include travel, biography, lifestyle, farming, food, human resources and small business, luxury and glamour but are by no means restricted to these.
Self-publishing has opened up the world of writing. Anyone can publish a piece of work, at little cost, to print-on-demand, or as an e-book to be sold on a worldwide platform such as Kindle, or from your own website. If you want to get serious about it, and if you want your work to be the best it can be, you need an editor.
Services as a ghost writer can be delivered on a confidential basis where preferred.
