Freelance

Fiona Stocker is a regular contributor to Forty South Tasmania magazine, covering extraordinary people, places and landscapes. She writes regularly for the Epicure section.

Her work has also appeared in national and international publications including Graziher, Selector and RACT Journeys magazines, The Age, and BBC Travel.

Fiona began her writing career as an advertising copywriter in London, and more recently ran her own small business creating websites and writing commercial copy and content. Clients over the years have included everyone from Harrods to City Prom Launceston, and many small and extraordinary businesses.

Locally, she has managed the social media and media marketing for Tamar Valley Wine Route, and was the Project Officer for Farmgate Festival.

Nowadays, she restricts the amount of commercial work undertaken, to focus on creative writing, both in her own books and in services to other writers.

“#HR has developed a great partnership with Fiona Stocker.  Fiona is our leading copy writer and go-to editor at #HR, supporting the workflow of all literary content - from bi-weekly business articles to eBooks and downloadable material.

Fiona Stocker’s expertise has made a significant difference to our business, particularly through shaping the sometimes jargon heavy content into strong, insightful and lightly humoured material.

And to top it all off, Fiona makes every effort to get her editorial comments back quickly, a huge plus for a business which is centred around tight deadlines.”
